During her schooling years, Tiffani entered and won numerous talent quests and in year 11 played the lead vocal role in her 1994 school musical Murder in the Music Hall. She completed her Higher School Certificate in 1995, her highest mark being eighty-five percent, that of course was in music. Tiffani also wrote on a piece of paper in her year 12 time capsule predicting her future - that she would be in a famous girl group with a number 1 single and album by the year 2000, which later of course came true.

At the age of 18 Tiffani started entering modelling competitions throughout NSW where she won many titles including Miss Beach Girl, Covergirl, Miss Wild FM and represented both Newcastle and Sydney at the National finals for Miss Indy and Miss Hawiian tropic. From entering one of the local competitions that had a talent section where Tiffani sang, she was spotted by a well known Newcastle guitarist and asked to join their band and so became the lead singer of a cover band “Quiver”. They performed a wide range of cover songs including Tracey Chapman, Pearl Jam, Live, Shania Twain, Alanis Morissette, 80’s rock and more and Wood recorded original songs with the band. They were one of the best known local bands playing every weekend to packed crowds.

In 1998 Tiffani decided to move to Sydney where she enrolled in the Australian Institute of Music ( A.I.M) choosing vocal as her major while also studying The Music Business, Music Ensembles ( passed with distinction) , Music Technology ( passed with a high distinction) & Music Theory, which she graduated successfully receiving a certificate in Music Performance with Merit. For work Tiffani joined a well established Sydney cover band “The Anthill Mob” and became an assistant latin dance teacher at a Latin restaurant while also working as the host at the Hilton Hotel.
