Tiffani Wood was born in Newcastle, New south Wales on November 8, 1977. She developed an interest in performing at a very young age. Always singing, dancing and showing off at every moment possible. Her parents picked up on her natural talent and Tiffani was enrolled into ballet lessons at age 4. Ballet didn’t go all that well with Tiffani not paying attention to the strict format and so jazz ballet was the next step. Enrolling with the Beisler Studio of dance, where Tiffani stayed right up until age 11 where she, at that stage, assisted the younger students as dance captain. By this stage she had numerous performances, concerts and talent quests under her belt with many hours spent in front of the TV copying her favourite idols such as Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey & Debbie Gibson not to mention never missing an episode of the number one talent show called Young Talent Time.

At age 12, Tiffani saw a tele movie based on the story of Karen Carpenter (The Carpenters) a well known singer of the 70’s and was in awe of Karens voice. From that moment, you could say, it was Tiffani’s turning point where she decided she wanted to be a singer. That year the Johnny Young Talent School came to town and after seeing the TV commercials and pleading with her mum to be enrolled for both singing and dancing Wood’s mother Judy signed her up. Her teachers quickly noticed her natural singing talent and at age 15, placed her into an elite show troupe “The Young Stars” (charlie from HI 5 was also a member) which performed at various venues & shopping centres around New South Wales. During this three year stint, Wood had her first experience of recording for an album and performing solo in front of large crowds, her biggest being the opening of the Sydney Harbour Tunnel where she sang solo in front of over 20,000 people on the Channel 9 stage.
