Here I try to answer as many questions as I can that you may want to ask about my classes. If you have any other questions please just email me tiffani@tiffaniwood.com or message me on the enquiry tab on my website page

Do I have to come weekly?
Yes, when you book your time you are expected to come (or turn up via SKYPE) on that time once every week for the whole term (a term runs for either 10 or 11 weeks). Each student is allowed 2 make up lessons a term when no less than 24 hours notice is given.

For those who wish to come occasionally or for a one off you are able to book in lessons where ever spots are available. Casuals are not allocated regular weekly times or days but instead fit in around the regular students where possible times and days are free and they pay for the lesson on a PAYG higher casual rate.

What do your fees cover?
I don’t charge any hidden extras on top of your fees. Music downloads, a folder to hold your notes in & any discs given to you for your lessons are covered. During the term some opportunities such as recording may come up which incur extra fees but these are outside your lesson times and at your own choice.

What do I have to bring to my lesson?
A bottle of water, your notes/folder, a mini recorder so I can tape any thing you may need to practise or a phone that has a recording device. Students are also asked to warm up where possible in the car on the way to your lesson especially those with 30minute lessons. I don’t spend time in your lesson doing warm ups unless reviewing or necessary so that part is up to you once learnt.

Do you teach 2 people or groups?
No my lessons are one on one. If you have a sibling, friend or partner that wants to also sing and come together I am happy to have one sing while to other waits in the waiting room for their turn.

Can parents stay to watch and listen?
I find that when a parent stays with a student learning alot of children will close up and not learn as well. I suggest to most parents to drop off their children and have a coffee down the road. If you are unable to leave while your child learns for some reason then you can wait in the waiting room but must not be seen or express an opinion during the lesson as it interupts the childs learning. Parents upon prior request are able to sit in and watch/listen to their childs progress if all parties feel comfortable doing so.

DO you teach over SKYPE?
Yes, starting 2012 I will be available to teach lessons over SKYPE for those who cant make class in person. Lessons are run the same as if you were here but obviously over the internet. You must have a SKYPE name (join for free www.skype.com), a good microphone or built in microphone and good quality web cam so I can see and hear you clearly and it helps to have high speed broadband.

Who have you been taught by?
I have had many a singing teacher and all very different, using different methods and techniques. 3 of the most well know and highest regarded teachers I have had are Danielle Gaha , Leigh McRae and Mark Williams who all taught me while I was signed with Warner music and performing during my time with BARDOT. Feel free to Google them :)

Do you have a blue card to work with children?
Yes I sure do. I have a positive notice blue card for child related employment as well as another 2 on the way for foster caring and volunteering.
